What is the difference between an XBOX 360 Arcade and the XBOX 360 PRO?
What is the difference? Can you do more stuff with the pro? Is the arcade just for arcade games? Can I still play any xbox360 game on the arcade edition? Like, can I still play rockband or halo3 on the arcade edition?

The Xbox 360 Pro costs $10 more than the Arcade. The Arcade costs around $200 and the Pro costs around $300. The Arcade has 256MB of storage while the Pro has 60GB. The headset is already included in the Xbox 360 Pro but the headset is sold separately if you get the Arcade. The network cable is also sold separately for the Arcade but it is included in the box with the Pro. The HDMI output is sold separately with both the Arcade and the Pro. Both the Xbox 360 Arcade and Pro have Xbox Live Silver Membership. The Xbox 360 Arcade doesn’t have backwards compatibility. Meaning, you can’t play Xbox games on it, only Xbox 360. The Pro has backwards compatibility, though. The AV cable of the Arcade is standard only, unlike the Pro, the Pro’s AV cable is standard and HD.
Xbox 360 Arcade:
256MB of storage
headset sold separately
network cable sold separately
AV cable is standard only
HDMI output sol separately
Xbox Live silver membership
No backwards compatibility
Xbox 360 Pro:
60GB of storage
headset included
network cable included
AV cable standard and HD
HDMI output cable sold separately
Xbox live silver membership
With backwards compatibility
Go for the Xbox 360. The Xbox Arcade won’t be good enough (for me).

LikeDislikeArcade doesn’t come with an ethernet cable, a headset, and a harddrive like a pro does. You can still play regular games on the arcade just like the pro. If you had to choose between the two, i’d get a pro because you might want XBOX LIVE and for that you need an ethernet cable which is an extra $10 and you might want a headset which is another $10 and if you want to download demos and special map packs then the 256mb of memory that comes with the arcade might not be enough.

LikeDislikeThe PRO has a hard drive, head set for Xbox live, HDTV cables, a broadband internet cable, and a chrome finish. The Arcade can still play ALL Xbox 360 games. But you should get some sort of storage device like a hard drive or memory card because almost all games requires them.
If your planning on getting a hard drive or play on Xbox live, or download any online content, then you’re better off with a PRO. because you’ll end up spending less money in the long run.

LikeDislikePro Features:
Hard Drive
Headset
A few cables for HD setup
2 Controllers
Arcade Features:
Low Cost
Memory card
basic necessities to play
1 controller
You can play games online, but without a hard drive you cannot download map packs, or use file share, or Theater mode in Halo three, but you still can play online. The online is just limited due to the lack of storage. Also, it shouldn’t be a problem with only a few games, but when you start to have 4-6 games, you may run out of room to store saved games and stuff like that.
Just get the pro.. the stuff that doesn’t come with the arcade doesn’t sound like a lot, but i guarantee you are gonna end up wanting all of it once you start playing a little more, and probably will end up buying it.
After buying all the Arcade is missing, the Xbox Pro and Xbox Arcade cost about the same amount
